Both the carbon slurry method and the carbon leaching method are gold extraction processes, but there are some differences between them.


The carbon slurry method is a cyanidation method of leaching first and then adsorption. The process includes leaching in one set of equipment first, and then adding activated carbon in another set of equipment for gold adsorption. The carbon leaching method is a process of leaching and adsorption at the same time. In fact, the first two or three tanks do not add activated carbon, which is called pre-cyanidation, while cyanide leaching is carried out in the latter tanks, and activated carbon is added for countercurrent adsorption of gold.
