As a key overseas mining project strategically positioned by the company, the Kazakhstan 1.5 million tonnes per annum copper ore flotation plant project (in collaboration with Kazakhstan's BMT Company) is progressing steadily with high standards and efficiency.

The project encompasses the entire process chain from pilot studies and plant design to engineering construction, equipment installation, and process commissioning. As an integrated turnkey project combining technological R&D with engineering implementation, it aims to establish a premium demonstration project for copper ore resource development in the region, thereby enhancing the company's influence in the overseas mining market.

Officially commencing in October 2025, the project faced initial challenges including geographical constraints inherent to overseas construction, delays in the arrival of certain client-supplied materials and construction machinery, and limited effective construction time of just two months in 2025 due to local climatic conditions. However, through scientific on-site scheduling and efficient resource integration, the project swiftly overcame the initial slow progress, achieving a significant increase in construction efficiency from November onwards.

To date, the project team has completed multiple critical civil engineering foundations: the powder ore silo foundation, the underground section of the ball mill foundation and its surrounding steel platform foundation, the circular flotation machine foundation, the thickener and thickener workshop building foundation, and the raft foundation for the primary crushing workshop have all been successfully completed. The main workshop foundation is 30% complete, while earthwork excavation and haulage for the secondary crushing workshop and screening workshop are progressing efficiently. Cumulative achievements include approximately 15,000 cubic metres of earthwork excavation and haulage, 260 tonnes of steel reinforcement fabrication and tying, and 2,700 cubic metres of concrete pouring, demonstrating substantial construction progress.

Operating in an overseas construction environment, the project team has demonstrated exceptional coordination capabilities. Through meticulously planned schedules, real-time progress monitoring, and flexible deployment of multiple construction teams (26 to 29 personnel) alongside diverse machinery resources, they achieved seamless coordination across all work fronts. This enabled industry-leading construction progress while maintaining stringent quality control, establishing a key highlight of the project.

Subsequently, the project will proceed as scheduled in 2026 with steel structure installation, equipment and pipeline laying, ancillary facility construction, and process commissioning. Professional expertise will continue to ensure the project's successful completion.

The steady advancement of this project not only demonstrates the company's technical expertise and execution capabilities in overseas mining engineering contracting but also injects fresh vitality into Sino-Kazakh mining cooperation. Moving forward, the project will uphold high-standard construction principles, rigorously control engineering quality and schedule, striving to establish itself as a benchmark for overseas copper flotation plant projects.
