The Ruide tailings dam project was completed 33 days ahead of schedule

Recently, the Ruide project's tailings dam reached a significant milestone. After 77 days of intensive construction, the project was officially completed on March 28th, 33 days ahead of schedule. This successful completion lays a solid foundation for the subsequent commissioning of the concentrator and demonstrates outstanding efficiency.

The completed Ruide tailings dam is a flat-ground type, featuring a four-sided dam design with a total capacity of 400,000 cubic meters. It is a key supporting project to ensure the subsequent production of the concentrator. Since its commencement on January 10, 2026, the project has faced multiple challenges: the construction period coincided with the transition from winter to spring, with frequent heavy rainfall and strong winds posing significant obstacles to core processes such as outdoor earthwork and the laying of the anti-seepage layer; the approaching Spring Festival holiday also presented a major challenge in maintaining staff availability and the construction pace.

Faced with complex circumstances, the entire construction team worked together with unwavering dedication and initiative, setting aside the holiday atmosphere and remaining steadfast on the front lines of construction. The project team adhered to scientific construction methods and precise scheduling, optimizing construction plans in advance, rationally allocating construction resources, and deploying over 22 sets of large machinery and equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, and road rollers, to achieve seamless coordination and efficient progress across all processes. During construction, the team strictly controlled quality, steadily completing over 400,000 cubic meters of earthwork excavation and transportation, and meticulously laying over 50,000 square meters each of geomembrane and geotextile. From foundation construction to seepage prevention, every step was meticulously executed to ensure the project quality met design standards.

The early completion of the Ruide tailings dam project not only demonstrates the project team's strong work ethic of overcoming difficulties and working in unity, but also reflects their high level of scientific organization and meticulous management. As a crucial supporting facility for the concentrator's production, the completion and commissioning of this tailings dam will effectively guarantee the standardized treatment of tailings in subsequent production, laying a solid foundation for the overall operation of the project and accumulating valuable experience for the efficient construction of similar tailings dam projects.
