Gold Ore Crushing Process FlowGold ore crushing is the first key process in the gold ore beneficiation production line. Its core goal is to gradually crush large raw ore into a suitable size for grinding, laying a foundation for subsequent grinding, flotation, leaching and other steps. A reasonable crushing process can not only improve production efficiency, but also reduce energy consumption, lower equipment wear, and enhance the economy and stability of the entire production line. At present, the three-stage closed-circuit crushing process is the most widely used in industry and is also the mainstream configuration for large and medium-sized gold processing plants.

After raw ore is transported from the mining site to the plant, it is evenly fed into the primary crushing equipment through a vibrating feeder to initially break large ore pieces. The ore after primary crushing is still too coarse for the next stage and is conveyed to secondary crushing equipment via a belt conveyor for further processing. The secondary crushing stage further reduces the particle size and ensures material uniformity, creating good conditions for fine crushing. Fine crushing is critical in the whole process; after fine crushing, materials are screened by a vibrating screen. Qualified ore is sent to the storage bin for grinding, while unqualified coarse particles return to the fine crusher for re-crushing, forming a closed circuit. This closed-circuit mode strictly controls product size, avoids over-crushing or uneven particles, and improves overall crushing efficiency.

In process design, full consideration must be given to raw ore properties, mud content, moisture content and production scale. For gold ore with high mud content and easy caking, pre-screening and washing are necessary to prevent blockage. For hard and abrasive quartz-vein gold ore, equipment with high compressive strength and large crushing ratio should be selected to ensure continuous and stable operation.

The entire crushing process follows the principle of more crushing and less grinding, reducing ore particle size as much as possible in the crushing stage to lighten the load on the ball mill. Since grinding consumes far more energy than crushing, optimizing the crushing process can significantly reduce beneficiation costs. Meanwhile, automatic control is adopted in the whole process to monitor feeding rate, particle size, equipment temperature and other parameters in real time, achieving stable, efficient and safe operation.

A standardized and mature gold ore crushing process is a prerequisite for efficient gold recovery and stable high production, as well as an important symbol of modern gold processing plants.
