Desulfurization flotation process of iron-sulfur ore

Iron-sulfur ore desulfurization flotation process is a commonly used mineral processing process for extracting iron sulfide and metallic iron from iron-sulfur ore. This process selectively extracts iron sulfide from iron-sulfur ore by using flotation agents, such as ferrous sulfate, alkaline sodium metabisulfite, etc.

After desulfurization, the metallic iron in the iron-sulfur ore is extracted by magnetic separation, electric separation and other methods.

The specific process flow includes:

Raw material processing: After the iron-sulfur ore is manually crushed, sorted and sorted, it is put into the silo.

Crushing: Use jaw crusher, impact crusher, sand making machine and other equipment to crush iron-sulfur ore to obtain coarsely crushed quartz sand.

Screening: Use a circular vibrating screen to screen the quartz sand to separate qualified sand and gravel.

Desulfurization: Put the quartz sand into the desulfurization tank, add ferrous sulfate or alkaline sodium pyrosulfite and other flotation agents to make it react with the iron sulfide in the iron-sulfur ore to generate buoyant iron sulfide, thereby realizing desulfurization.

Flotation: Send the desulfurized quartz sand into the flotation tank, add collectors and foaming agents, etc., to make it react with metallic iron to generate floatable iron sulfide minerals, thereby realizing flotation.

Concentration: Concentrate the iron sulfide minerals after flotation to remove impurities and obtain high-quality iron-sulfur concentrates.

Tailings treatment: Treat the selected iron-sulfur minerals with tailings to recover the metallic iron and iron sulfide.

It should be noted that each step in the process needs to strictly control parameters such as the dosage of chemicals, reaction time, and reaction temperature to ensure the best beneficiation effect.
