Bentonite is a high-value clay mineral with excellent swelling, adsorption, thickening and colloidal properties. It is widely used in drilling mud, metallurgy, casting, environmental protection, cosmetics and chemical industries. Natural bentonite ore is usually mixed with quartz, feldspar, calcite, clay and other impurities. To meet industrial application standards, raw bentonite must undergo professional beneficiation and purification to improve its montmorillonite content and physical performance.

Modern bentonite processing adopts a mature physical purification process without chemical pollution. The entire production flow includes crushing, grinding, washing and desliming, purification classification, dehydration and drying. Through spiral washing machines and hydrocyclone group classification, mud, fine sand and low-quality impurities are effectively separated from high-quality bentonite slurry. This physical purification method greatly improves the montmorillonite content and swelling capacity of the ore.

For high-grade bentonite production, high-speed centrifugal separation and fine screening equipment are adopted for deep purification. The equipment removes residual fine-grained gangue and non-swelling impurities, realizing precise classification according to particle size and quality. After purification, the bentonite slurry has stable viscosity and high purity, which can meet the requirements of drilling-grade and metallurgical-grade products.

The final process includes dehydration, drying and powder finishing. The purified bentonite slurry is treated by thickeners and filter presses for solid-liquid separation. After drying and ultrafine grinding, the finished bentonite powder achieves uniform fineness and stable performance. Tailwater and waste residue can be recycled and reused, realizing green and low-consumption production.
